Turkey Chili

Chef Jason Hill of www.CookingSessions.com and the Chef Tips app on iTunes (http shares his turkey chili recipe in this episode of Chef Tips. This chili with turkey is obviously more healthy than the ground beef version, but you’ll never know the difference. You can make turkey chili in the crock pot (or a slow cooker turkey chili) by first sauteing the vegetables and ground turkey, and then putting it in the crock pot on low for 4-6 hours. Gotta try this one! The turkey might be hard to find tho.. (Norway’s not a turkey nation..)

I made this last night, it was pretty awesome. I may try to find most turkey substitutes.

    Thanks!

@ChefTips Hey there, i couldn’t help but notice that when you put the lid on your dutch oven, during the transition you pulled it right off?

  18. JamesD567 Says:

Why wouldn’t you cook the meat first or separately? That way you can drain all the fat out.

btw. what brand is that dutch oven? It looks like it doesn’t have a plastic knob on top

The first ChefTips recipe I’ve actually gone out and made! I had a hankering for chili today, but I’m trying to eat healthy, and this hit the spot! I even managed to go without the cheese and sour cream (it was tough!) A lot of flavor, and I didn’t miss the beef at all! Thanks Jason!
